In February, 2020, three of our fabulous children bravely went on BBC World TV. In a video broadcast, three siblings talk about how challenging it can be at school if other children say mean things to them, and how it can hurt to see other children with their parents whilst they struggle with the daily separation from a parent. This interview also helped to highlight that many children impacted by parental imprisonment have no contact with the imprisoned parent at all. This footage was shared world-wide and we couldn’t be prouder of our young people for putting themselves forward to raise awareness. Their comments were described in the press as heart-breaking and impressively mature.
