In 2019 3 of our children were seen on BBC North West Tonight, which inspired theatre makers Emma and Sarah, from AllThingsConsidered Theatre Company to pull together testimonies of more than 60 children who have experienced parental imprisonment, most of whom were from Time-Matters UK to create the incredible play “8 Hours There and Back”.

These are the words of Bella who told us that to go on a prison visit, it was literally 8 Hours There and Back.

The play was first show in 2022, and was so successful that a second, updated iteration of the play was created for a 2024 tour.
